I'm a New Manager: How do I Successfully Navigate the Leadership Transition

This CPE session will feature a panel to share lessons learned from the trenches on navigating this challenging transition to management. It will direct new managers through this critical phase in their leadership development and inspire them to put their plans into action. Practical tips on what has worked for other successful managers/leaders will be shared in a candid way. Panel discussion to include topice such as the following:
- The Organizational and leadership aspects of moving into a new position
- The competence, credibility and confidence required to establish yourself into the new role
- Selecting mentors and sponsors to provide guidance to help propel your career
- Building your personal brand and showing your boss your worth and impact on the organization
- Managing the personal transition with home, friends, health, extracurricular activities and "you" time
- Frequent issues that "can make or break" a new mangaer.
Leadership in the 21st Century

The session will explore how organizational structures, technology, globalization and the pace of change have affected the way businesses view leadership in the 21st century. In addition, the role of leadership in successful organizations will be explored. Participants will be asked to examine their view of leadership and how it may change in the years ahead. The target audience for this session is a finance professional with 10+ years of experience.

Negotiation Tips and Techniques for Women
